Mukwevho Mbuyelano is a BA graduate in development studies from the University of Venda, who is currently pursuing Honours in rural development at the Institution for Rural Development (IRD) at the University of Venda. He is conducting a study on the topic of ‘Analysis of trade networks, market dynamics, and regulatory framework in the edible insect sector of Limpopo Province, South Africa, focusing on assessing current policy and regulatory barriers of the sector and identifying possible opportunities for formalisation. His co-supervisor on the project is AWEI Deputy Director, Wiseman Ndlovu.
