Bio

Mr Aphelele Jonas is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture at Stellenbosch University. His work focuses on comparative research analysing the proximate composition of wild sardines and mackerel and their implications for social and environmental sustainability. With a strong academic background in aquaculture, biotechnology, and water treatment, he integrates scientific knowledge with sustainability principles to assess the nutritional value and ecological impact of seafood consumption. His research aims to contribute to sustainable food systems by informing policy, industry practices, and consumer choices regarding the role of fish species in human nutrition and environmental conservation.
