Chozen’s research follows the edible insect value chain from harvest to enterprise, identifying where innovation and value addition can create new opportunities. The study examines the business models and challenges facing entrepreneurs and reviews the regulatory barriers – including NEMBA and BABS compliance – that impede formalising trade. The aim is a set of integrated policy recommendations to support a sustainable, enterprise-driven sector.
